Kajian Tematik “Boikot Divestasi Sanksi: Gerakan Solidaritas Palestina”

Forum Komunikasi Komunitas Muslim di Belanda (FORKOM NL) telah melaksanakan kegiatan diskusi dengan tema Boikot, Divestasi, Sanksi: Gerakan Solidaritas untuk Palestina.  Diskusi ini dilaksanakan pada hari Ahad, 12 November 2023 secara online dengan menghadirkan dua narasumber yakni Bapak Shofwan Al Banna Choiruzzad, Ph.D dan Bapak Giri Ahmad Taufiq, Ph.D. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program strategis yang dilakukan oleh FORKOM NL sebagai respon terhadap permasalahan kaum muslim yang terjadi di dunia global. Kegiatan diskusi tematik kali ini adalah respon terhadap invasi yang dilakukan oleh Israel kepada Palestina yang terjadi pada tanggal 7 Oktober 2023 hingga saat artikel ini dipublikasikan. Dalam sambutannya, Ketua FORKOM NL yakni Bapak Eko Harjanto menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan diskusi ini dilaksanakan sebagai dukungan moral kepada perjuangan masyarakat Palestina melalui aksi solidaritas di mimbar akademik.

Dalam diskusi tersebut, terdapat dua topik bahasan utama. Yang pertama ialah terkait sejarah awal terjadinya konflik antara Israel dengan Palestina yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Shofwan Al Banna Choiruzzad, Ph.D. Dalam catatan sejarah, pendudukan Israel terhadap Palestina merupakan salah satu bentuk dari penjajahan yang tidak berperikemanusiaan. Konflik yang terjadi antara Israel dengan Palestina menjadi konflik yang berkepanjangan, di mana konflik ini melibatkan banyak hal termasuk negara-negara di luar Israel dan Palestina. Kronologi konflik pertama kali antara Israel dan Palestina dalam sejarah dimulai pada 1917-1947 ketika masa pemerintahan Inggris di Palestina dengan Jerusalem sebagai pusat pemerintahannya yang kemudian melahirkan Deklarasi Balfour  yang menjadi tonggak awal kaum Yahudi untuk menetap di tanah Palestina.

Topik bahasan kedua mengangkat aksi Boikot, Divestasi dan Sanksi (BDS) terhadap produk-produk Israel yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Giri Ahmad Taufiq, Ph.D. sebagai narasumber dan inisiator BDS chapter Indonesia, Boikot dan pemberian sanksi terhadap produk-produk Israel menjadi penting untuk dilakukan sebagai bentuk keperihatinan kepada kaum muslim yang ada di Palestina. Selain itu, gerakan boikot bukanlah merupakan gerakan kebencian akan tetapi lebih kepada gerakan penyadaran kepada masyarakat global bahwa apa yang dilakukan oleh Israel terhadap Palestina adalah sebuah kesalahan yang tidak berperikemanusaiaan.
